| Ok to anyone who is reading this im here for some advice and help. I am having a real hard time finding a job out there right now. I know there are a few reasons out there that may be hindering this and that's the economy and the fact that I have only a year of experiance. I have been mainly using RT and MT.Most of my hours are in those methods but i have schooling in ET,UT,and penetrant as well. They are not ASNT certifications but thats where I seem to run into my problem. Most people are looking for ASNT certified people and its really discouraging when I get turned away for this. Another thing is nobody seems to want a level one. I have all the level 2 hours classroom wise and held Level 2's in RT and MT at my previous job, but im just running into a brick wall and beginning to feel I am, one going to forget most of my studies or two, get completely discouraged and give up on this career which is a shame because I love this line of work.I really want to do some field work but these are the companies that wont even bother talking to me. Can anyone fill me in on how to break out in this career. Any help would really be great so I can try new avenues of approach. Thanks again for taking the time to read this. |
